ABSTRACT
In the paper, a newly developed device for measurements of the level of vibrations produced by ball bearings was described. Basic requirements for such devices, their suitability for the bearing industry applications, and the mechanical construction of the most important units were discussed.
Highlights of the paper:
• Basic requirements for the operation of rolling bearing vibration level measurement devices were specified;
• A device, designed to the requirements of bearing manufacturers, was discussed;
• The main units of the device and their roles were described;
• Preliminary results of the tests carried out to assess the correct operation of the device were given.
